BLOG CANDY

Hope everyone had a really nice Easter. We went to my sister's for lunch then the women played Phase 10 and Slap and laughed so loud the guys had to turn the volume up to watch golf! Laughter does the body good like medicine, to paraphrase Proverbs.

Yesterday was my daughter's 46th birthday and I had a birthday supper for her last night-another good family time together.

Mary Giemza is having a nice giveaway on her blog-My Cards~My passion~My Therapy. You can check it out by clicking on Blog Candy at the top of this post.

MOJO MONDAY UPSY DAISY

This is my first MoJo Monday sketch challenge. I love the layered squares and the lower border edge. Here is my finished card that I made for my oldest daughter's 46th birthday, that is today, using this sketch. It was hard to get a good picture today as it is raining here. I used the Upsy Daisy stamp by Stampin' Up that I have had for awhile and never used. My daughter likes flowers so will appreciate the daisies. Will be the first time she has seen blue ones. (grin) Stamped the image on SU Very Vanilla cardstock using Martha Stewart Ocean ink. The base card is SU Kiwi Kiss and the designer paper is K&Company Classic K Margo doublesided paper. The long panel is one side and for the bottom square I used the polka dot side. I used a Martha Stewart border punch on the bottom and the sentiment is from SU Warmest Regards set. I added a matching button tied with narrow vanilla ribbon. It was a fun card to make. I have printed off some more sketches and hope to use them on future cards.

Easter Gift Cards

I continue the tradition of giving an Easter basket to my two grown daughters, only now it is gift certificates in cards. Here is what I made this year. A simple design, using the bunny from a retired SU set-Tender Toile. The swirl stamp is from Autumn Leaves Flowers set. I made a simple pocket inside and stamped the swirl on it. Added some brads to match and I was happy with the way they turned out-fast and easy!

BACK TO BLOGGING

I took a few months off from blogging. I am starting again and will be posting photos of flowers, animals, recipes, cards I have made, etc. I hope you enjoy looking and reading. Bev J.

DOUBLE RAINBOW

I thought this photo was fitting as Easter Sunday is this weekend. A rainbow always reminds me of hope and a new beginning after a storm.

NOT QUITE TWINS

Baby calves are so cute (as are most baby animals), here are two of our calves born this year. I especially like the coloring of the one on the left. He is about a month and a half older than the other baby.
